WatchandWager has extended its partnership with the California Exposition and State Fair Board, enabling them to maintain their horse racing activities at the California State Fair until the beginning of May 2025.

The arrangement also contains a clause that permits both parties to prolong the lease until the year 2030.

Ed Comins, the chief executive officer of WatchandWager and its parent company, Webis Holdings, stated that the agreement is a significant development for both WatchandWager and the California State Fair.

“This authorization is a major stride for WatchandWager’s licensing in the United States and California,” Comins remarked. “We are confident that WatchandWager will continue to conduct secure and successful races at the California State Fair, which is positive news for racing enthusiasts and California’s racing sector.”

WatchandWager announced in a press release that the renewal is “particularly significant” as California may legalize sports betting.
